Argg! Join the 'Pirates of the Columbian Caribbean' as the take over the park with their incredible aerial performances
This summer Miami Seaquarium will be offering thrilling adventures for the whole family with the new “Buccaneer Summer at Miami Seaquarium”. From now through August 16th, 2009 the park will feature daily aerial performances by the Pirates of the Columbian Caribbean.
The Pirates of the Columbian Caribbean is an entertaining aerial performance like no other. Everyday the Colombian will set sail for a swashbuckling adventure on the high seas. Pirates of the Colombian Caribbean, is a unique aerial high wire show. Guests will be in awe as pirates are suspended 30’ in the air duel for the right to be the Captain of the Colombian Caribbean pirate ship.
In addition, the park will feature The Kraken, an exciting large inflatable pirate ship slide. Kids of all ages will be thrilled as they slide down the ship attacked by a large octopus. And don’t forget our Pirate Skeleton Walk; these friendly pirates are guaranteed to put a smile on kid’s faces.

‘SUMMER SAVINGS PASS’
Miami Metrozoo, Miami Seaquarium and Wannado City are offering a ‘Summer Savings Pass’ that will allow unlimited admission to all three of the attractions throughout the summer. The ‘Summer Savings Pass’ is being sold for $19.95 plus tax, per person with the purchase of a regular-priced general admission at one of the three parks.
The Summer Savings Pass is available for purchase at each of the participating parks and will be valid for unlimited admission to each of the attractions until August 30, 2009.
Annual pass holders and members of these attractions are eligible to purchase this pass for only $9.95 plus tax, per person.
SUMMER CAMP DAYS ARE ALMOST HERE!
Camp Seaquarium – Summer 2009 runs through August 14 for campers ages 5-18
Miami Seaquarium is the only camp in South Florida that offers students the opportunity to assist veterinarian staff in manatee rehabilitation. Only at Camp Seaquarium children may learn in a hands-on way how to help save these threatened Florida natives. Camp Seaquarium offers students from kindergarten to high school alternative camp themes with green initiatives and the opportunity to help save our planet by participating in beach clean-ups.
And that’s not all. Students from kindergarten to high school will Go Green as they learn about ‘Threats to Biodiversity’. From kinder to fourth grade campers will have the opportunity to learn about Wildlife Exploration, fifth graders will go on an Animal Quest, sixth grade will learn about the amazing ocean predators, the Sharks, and high school students will focus on seals, sea lions, and walruses in ‘Pinniped Studies’. With these themes, campers will enjoy fun-filled days of education and conservation, animal interactions, shows, activities and much more. Camp Seaquarium – Summer 2009 runs from June 8 through August 14th for campers ages 5-18.
Curriculum for each grade level at Camp Seaquarium will revolve on a one-week schedule with additional weeks optional. Camp hours are Monday through Friday from 9a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with optional early and late care for an additional charge. Parents who have more than one child participating in Camp Seaquarium and/or who are annual pass holder will receive a discounted rate. Middle and high school students may include a “Dolphin Odyssey” experience for an additional fee.

Monster Splash Nighttime Halloween Bash

This Halloween, Miami Seaquarium unleashes Monster Splash Nighttime Bash, the biggest, scariest, kid-friendly, nighttime Halloween extravaganza in Miami with the addition of 'Buried Alive', a totally new and horrifying haunted attraction. In addition to 'Buried Alive', the event features nights of ghoulish fun, frights and trick-or-treating starting from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m with Halloween themed shows, music, rides, slides, and lots of spooky fun.
WINTER NIGHTS AND LIGHTS December 2009
Although winter's snow and chilly temperatures are not typical of South Florida weather, the forecast at Miami Seaquarium calls for magic and merriment during Winter Nights & Lights. The Holiday extravaganza will transform the park into a virtual Winter Wonderland. Winter Nights & Lights will brighten Miami Seaquarium until 8:30 p.m. each night. Miami Seaquarium will create a magical light exhibition with all of your favorite marine animals. Join us as we light up the holidays with magical light sculptures of reef fish, flamingos, dolphins, seals, sea lions, killer whales and many more of our Miami Seaquarium marine friends. In addition to our magical marine light exhibit, Miami Seaquarium will feature holiday shows and exhibits, the Kid's Winter Express Train, holiday bounce houses, extended park hours, fireworks and much more.
