Best Summer Activities for Kids

Summer is here! And there’s never been a better time to be a kid. Discover the best fun summertime activities for kids in the Miami today.

As Summer 2016 is coming to a close, parents are continuously seeking fun and engaging activities for kids. We are here to help you out! Below are some of our favorite fun summer activities for kids! You’ll find free summer activities for kids and events all created for family fun!

Home Depot offers free kids workshops from 9 a.m. to noon on the first Saturday of every month. Make sure to sign up early for the workshop to guarantee your spot. Your child even gets to keep what he/she creates! These workshops are great for children 5 – 12 years old.

Miami Seaquarium offers a fun and engaging summer camp program for children ages 5+ that include lots of different marine activities as well as the classic summer camp past times like arts and crafts!

Everyone loves skating and bowling! You can sign your kids up for the Kids Skate Free or the Kids Bowl Free program this summer at your nearest participating location!

From Miami or just visiting? A Miami Marlins game might be a great option for your family. They offer different deals on every day of the week, from Kids Eat Free Wednesday to Fireworks Friday!

Looking to stay home for all these kids summer activities? Don’t worry! These next few don’t require you to leave home!

Do-it-Yourself Home Kids Summer Activities

If you want to keep the kids cool while they are running out in the yard, and keep them entertained when they’re bored of playing hide and seek for the gazillionth time, here’s an intriguing idea for them!

Grab a metal cake pan and line it with several small toys that can get wet. Fill the pan with water and freeze it. After you let it sit for a few hours and the pan becomes solid, it’s time to play! Place the pan under hot water for a minute to loosen the block out of the pan. Let the kids search the tool box for some tools to break the ice. And let them have fun trying to take all the toys out of the ice!

Barnes & Noble’s , as well as other bookstores throughout the U.S., have kids summer activities such as their summer reading programs encouraging children to read both for fun and educational purposes. And they’re rewarded with more books! How awesome is that!?

Some of these activities are great for families to enjoy together and others are for parents to let their kids enjoy alone. All-in-all they are all sure to put a smile on your kid’s face!
