There is a homeschool class appropriate for any home-school-aged student from kindergarten through high school. Our homeschool topics features discussions on animals in the ocean, South Florida habitats, endangered species, and conservation. Each homeschool class has a hands-on component which can include labs, animal interactions, dissections, and crafts reflective of the course topic.
Grades 5th-11th: Tuesdays, 10:00am- 12:00pm
Grades K-4th: Wednesdays, 10:00am- 12:00pm
Cancellation Policy: If there are less than 5 preregistered students the Monday before class, then we will have to cancel that month’s class. You will be able to choose another month to attend or you will be reimbursed at the end of the school year. Individual missed classes are NONREFUNDABLE. You may transfer to a different week.
$15.00 per child for homeschool class only
$30.00 per child (class & park admission)
One parent can attend class with child at no cost.

Join our MSQ Home School team & the International SeaKeepers Society on an expedition into Biscayne Bay to learn about local algal blooms! During this homeschool class we will board a vessel and join scientists in taking water samples in the bay. Afterwards, join us in the classroom to discuss our fieldwork and continue the learning!

Class will be offered to middle & high school home school students. Cost for expedition is free. Cost for classroom portion is $15. One parent must attend vessel expedition with each child.
