New Year’s Eve Miami Family Guide
New Year’s Eve Miami Family Guide Intro
The end of the year is near! Time has definitely escaped us this year and we are approaching the time to reflect, make new resolutions, and party all night long to welcome the New Year.
There are many of us who love going out and celebrating the night, but there are also many of us who rather stay in the comfort of our own home to bring in the New Year. If you’re stuck with not knowing where to take your family or simply need some creative ideas to do while at home, no worries, we are here to help with some New Year’s Eve ideas for families!
Family Party Ideas
Staying home on New Year’s doesn’t have to be boring when you have creative ways to make the evening special!
Toast to the New Year with a tasty mocktail! Create a signature cocktail and mocktail for the kids. Give it a long and important sounding name and drink it in your fanciest glassware to toast the New Year!
Try out this yummy Sparkling ‘Champagne’ Mocktail and learn how to do it here!
Family Slumber Party!
Netflix and popcorn are your slumber party hosts! Select a movie that the family can agree on and bring on all the snacks… including the popcorn of course.
Pick up a deck of cards or break out the board games. If you’re feeling like cooking one of your family favorite meals, have a candlelight dinner in the living room before movie time. Spread pillows and sleeping bags or blankets on the floor and let the whole family camp out for the night to bring in the New Year!

Good Luck Grapes
So just like any Spanish family in South Florida, we love to eat grapes at midnight for good luck! Thread 12 grapes on a skewer for each guest and serve them in a tall champagne flute.
For each grape you eat, make a resolution! It can be a new tradition if you don’t have it as one already!
New Year’s Eve BINGO!
Print a free New Year’s Eve BINGO game that you can play with your family while you wait for the ball to drop on TV.
This will definitely keep you busy as you enjoy the famous Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve on TV.
